Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
I was born in a family of collective farmers. I had a younger brother. Our mother raised us alone. I finished 9 grades of school. In summer time I had to take care of my cow.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
When I was 15 I went to Kyiv. I had no passport so for two years I was baby-sitting a daughter of a pediatrician. When the girl turned three, her parents arranged my job at her day-care. I was working as a cook’s assistant. Then I returned to my village to receive a passport. And then I moved to Kyiv. For the following 10 years I worked at the silk manufacture – it was hard work so I had to leave.
Tell about your present life.
Currently I live alone. My kids and grandkids live away from me. My heart condition and blood pressure are not good. Three years ago my thyroid gland was removed. Because of the war I am now having continuous stress – all these explosions and air raids. My kids and grandkids come to visit me – they bring me groceries and medicines.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
My friend brought me to church in 2015. I had not read my Bible before. I knew nothing about God. Now I read my Bible and listen to Bible lessons. I pray in the morning and in the evening. I ask God for good health for me, my kids, our soldiers, our sponsors. I pray for the end of the war. Let God bring us and our soldiers through this winter. Glory to Ukraine. Glory to its Heroes.
Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.
I am very thankful to our sponsors for their help at such difficult time. I pray for everyone. I used to be a sinner. When I came to Christ He forgave my sins. Now I pray and read my Bible. I believe in eternal life. I pray for our soldiers’ and our sponsors’ health. I pray for Ukraine and the whole world. The Lord will bring victory to us. Glory to Ukraine, glory to its heroes. Amen! Happy New year to you all.
