Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
When I was 5 WW II started. My mother, my little sister and I were sent behind Ural Mountains (central Russia). On the way my mother got lost. I was hosted by a family. And my little sister was taken to the orphanage where she died. Two years later my mother found me and we returned to Ukraine where we found out that my father was not alive any longer.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
My last job was at the factory in Kirovograd (renamed to Kropivnitsky). I was an engineer and was in charge of training personnel. For three years I was a head of professional committee and helped our workers to receive apartments. People were thankful to me. I was pleased with my job.
Tell about your present life.
I live separately from my kids. My health issues are: high blood pressure, heart failure and bad joints. In 2009 my husband died, I grieved a lot over him. I asked the Lord to give me some comfort and He did. It is difficult for me now to live through this war. I pray for God for help, pray for our soldiers and our country. I will trust in God hoping that He will help. One can take away from a person everything except his experience and dreams.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
I accepted Christ when I was 30. When I was in school we were not allowed to believe in God. There were teachers-on-duty who were checking if a child went to church. If he/she did then parents were called to school and the child was punished.
Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.
I think my sponsor wants to know if I believe in God. Yes, I do. I wake up with Him and go to bed with Him. When I wake up early in the morning I thank God for the gift of living. I thank God for being able to see. The Bible is clear when it says that Christ is the Son of God, Holy and sinless, He gave His life for us. I try to keep God’s commandments, to be honest, not to get bitter, to love people and help them when they are in need. When I fail I try to repent. I thank God for correcting me. God the Father, God the Son and God the Hole Spirit is the only One God. God knows all our hidden thoughts. I accept Him as my Lord and Savior. I gave my life to Him. He is among us giving us His healing life.
I am very thankful to my sponsor who helps me – I wish him strong health, success and long-living. Sincerely, Nadia.
