Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.

There were three kids in our family. We were poor. Our parents worked hard and we as kids helped them. I was a “C” student in school. After finishing middle school I entered technical college and became an interior painter.

Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?

I worked at construction. I was in a group of different workers. We were responsible for making an empty apartment suitable for living once the apartment complex was constructed. I certainly loved my job – it was nice to see that owners of the apartment were happy with our job.

Tell about your present life.

I am a refugee now. My property is half destroyed now. I hope Ukraine will win this war ( I believe in the Lord’s help) and I will be able to return home.

Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?

I had never been in church before I came to St. Paul Church. I would always speak to Jesus in my heart. My grandmother used to say we are to believe in god with all our heart and soul and He would never leave us. Now I follow the Lord.

Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.

I would like to tell one story. My sister got breast cancer. A bit later her daughter also got seriously sick. I prayed really hard for both of them asking the Lord to let them live because they were so young. They both overcame the diseases. They believe they got well solely because of the doctors’ help but I thing it is because the Lord had heard my prayers- I did not tell them about it – it is a secret between the Lord and me. Perhaps, I should tell them, I do not know yet.
