Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
From 2 till 7 I was in a daycare facility all the time – I was at home only on weekends. I was happy. Then I studied in school – I enjoyed it. My family consisted of both parents and a sister. I worked some after finishing school and then entered Lviv Polytechnic University. I was an A student. I always felt God within me therefore there was oy and optimism in me.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
I worked at the same University I studied in as a scientific worker. I liked the job but it was not well paid. After the collapse of the Soviet Union it was hard to find a job so I entered another university to become a psychologist. Then I worked in different organizations, created a method of improving body health. My life was filled with suffering, losses, deaths, unfair treatment. I have had a couple of heart attacks. Now I am retired, my pension is about $50 a month.
Tell about your present life.
It is hard to survive now. I cannot afford buying necessary for my heart medicines and proper groceries. I have to take care of the needy and helpless. I am very thankful to our church and sponsors for the help I receive – it would have been impossible to survive without it. Yet I love with hope in joy in my heart and do my best praying for Ukraine’s victory in this horrible war. I am happy I have an opportunity to pray with my brothers and sisters in church.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
All my life I felt God’s presence in my life. But I did not realize it when I was young. Only with age my heart got filled with gratitude and happiness.
Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.
I think the main thing is our love for God and opportunity to pray together no matter what the distance is. I would like our brothers and sisters know that common prayer life makes us a family. Our prayer unites us with the Lord and is powerful and serves to establish peace all over the world.
