Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.

I had an almost orphaned childhood. My mother was sick a lot, and my father was killed in the first days of the Second World War. Together with my 3 sisters, we lived in an orphanage for 5 years. I studied well, although I had to finish school as an extension because I had to go to work. Then I entered the university.

Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?

I graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University. I had a diploma in teaching philosophical disciplines. I got a position teaching philosophy at a pedagogical university. Then I defended my dissertation and received an academic degree and the title of associate professor. I was the head of the philosophy department. I am still very proud of my work. During my career, I was able to graduate more than 8000 students, including postgraduates and new PhDs. In 2012, I retired due to age.

Tell about your present life.

Suddenly, like all Ukrainians, my situation looks like a life tragedy for me. First, there is lonely senility. Secondly, a terrible, unjustified war that brought a lot of suffering. Because of these events, my son got into disaster. He was called up as an officer to defend the country. And in May 2022, after a combat mission, he had a stroke and a heart attack at the same time. Until recently my whole life was dedicated to saving my son. Unfortunately, my son’s body could not withstand the full load and he died. I am learning to live on in such circumstances.

Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?

Yes, I believe in God. And more than that, I am convinced that at the age of 84, God gives me strength, otherwise I could not cope with the challenges of life to save my son and the burden that fell on my shoulders, the financial challenges and the care of my son. He is now completely incapacitated. That’s why I go for help wherever I can, to various foundations. I am grateful that you responded to my appeal.

Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.

First of all, I would like to say a huge thank you. Sponsors and supporters are doing God’s work. I want my sponsor to know that I have no intention of abusing the charitable assistance.
