Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
My father was a war invalid, and my mother was from a wealthy family, which is why the communist regime persecuted her for the rest of her life. There were five of us in the family. We lived very poorly. I went to school, I was musically gifted, I sang, played the accordion, danced. I was also involved in the school newspaper. I also worked, herded cattle, played music at weddings, and raised rabbits. I studied a lot. I have three higher education degrees.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
I worked for a company that was engaged in the construction and reconstruction of factories. Our construction projects were all over the country. I was very happy to see a building move from paper to the ground. I also have a big family, five children. All of them have also received education and have their own families. I have always been active, thinking first about the country and then about myself. I have always had a desire to help everyone.
Tell about your present life.
In Ukraine, I was a constant supporter of the national revival movement. I started and supported many educational projects and was involved in charity work. My wife did not share my views and so we got divorced. I raised my children alone. But because of my public activities, I saw them very little. Now I live alone. I get sick a lot. I need to have several surgeries, and I’m saving money for them. I am actively engaged in evangelism. I also give free lectures at rehabilitation centers.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
I believe in God. My mother passed on her love for God to me, telling me the testimony of her life that God is alive and gracious. I met Protestants (Baptists) and have been going to church consciously for 50 years. All of my activities in Ukraine have been guided by the motto God and Ukraine. This has always sustained me.
Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.
My favorite apostle is Paul. And I know that I have two big problems: ignoring self-love and society and the country coming first before children. But I ask God to give me enough support to be faithful to the end. To have enough strength to walk the narrow road. I wish to live a righteous life and also to evangelize this world, which is still in darkness.
