Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.

I was one of five children in our family. I had two brothers and two sisters. Ours was large, well-knit family. Unfortunately, I am the only family member who is still living.

I did well at school. I enjoyed doing my school work.

Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?

I worked at a Vistek machine-building plant in Bakhmut. I was happy with my job. I worked as an engineer-economist at the plant management office. Our plant had seven main shops and seven auxiliary shops. It produced spare parts for mining equipment.

Tell about your present life.

We rent an apartment in Kyiv. We would love to go back home, but our house was completely destroyed. The question is where we will live out our old age. We don’t have a place of our own, we have no property left. When we fled, we took nothing with us. We thought we’d be back soon. But we have already lived for more than two years in Kyiv.

Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?

I believe in Christ. Since my childhood my parents encouraged me to have faith in God.

Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.

I am from Bakhmut. Our town was very beautiful and clean. There were many tress and flowers there. We owned a 3-room apartment on the third floor. Our apartment building is gone – what’s left is a pile of rubble. The River Bakhmutka flowed through our town. We enjoyed spending time on its embankments.

I am 75 years old, my husband is 76. We live on small pensions. In Bakhmut we had a small vegetable garden. We grew greens and vegetables. It was a big help for us. We miss our vegetable garden very much. We hope that we will go back there.

We long for peace. We are concerned about our soldiers and pray for them. They are having such a hard time on the front-line. We believe that Ukraine will win. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
