Description
Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
When WW II started my father was taken to the front. I remember in the occupied city my mother holding me and other women with children tried to pass a German block-post. The soldier started shooting into the air. All the kids started screaming. In my childhood I did not receive much care since my father was working 12 hours a day at rebuilding a power plant and my mother was taking care of my baby-sister. My school teachers were professional. When students needed extra lessons teachers studied with then for free. Thus after finishing school I was able to enter a technical college and get a job at chemical manufacture. It was very bad for health. I thought about quitting my job but soon the factory sent me to study to the Polytechnic University. The factory agreed to pay my tuition. My student years were fun.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
After graduation from the University I had to go back to the same plant. I took different positions while working there. I was finally pleased with my job there when I got a job at management department. I was often on business trips which I enjoyed. I had worked at the same factory for 43 years.
Tell about your present life.
I live with my daughter now. My husband died in 1995. Life is hard in Ukraine. Because of the war there is constant life danger, prices for groceries are very high, fees for utility services are way too high. And medical services and medicines are now hard to afford.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
In 1992 I accepted Christ. Back then I was attending the church pastored by an American Bible teacher Jim Mayers. His translator Margarita invited me to St. Paul Church – in 2005 I became its member.
