Description
Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
In 1946, my mother got sick with tuberculosis. We were advised to leave the city for a place with better air. But my mother died anyway when I was 5 years old. I had a difficult childhood because my sister and brother and I lived with my stepmother. We had two other children with her in the house. I don’t want to remember those years. Only God knows everything.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
After graduation, I moved back to Kyiv. I lived in a dormitory and worked at various jobs. For the last 25 years I have been working in a publishing house. I love working and always respect my duties. I have been a widow for eleven years. However, I am optimistic about life, trust in the Lord, and praise Him in my prayers.
Tell about your present life.
The situation in wartime, when there are constant air raids, you stay indoors without light and water, and sometimes without heat, you understand how difficult it is. Thanks to God, we are passing these tests. During the war, I had to undergo eye surgery for cataracts. It was successful. I thank God for America and for the support from them.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
In 2004, I learned about St. Paul’s Church. It was there that I met Roger and Diane McMurrin. I am eternally grateful to them for their ministry. I accepted Jesus into my heart and am following Him.
Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.
I sincerely thank the American sponsors for their help and support. It is especially valuable now in wartime. We are impressed by your kindness and humanity. May God protect you and may you not experience such a disaster as Ukraine is experiencing now. I am extremely grateful for everything.
