Description
Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
I was born and lived in a village. I helped my parents a lot with the housework. I went to the village school. I started working at the age of 14 on a poultry farm. I finished my education where I could study in the evening after work.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
After graduating from high school, I moved to the city of Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk region. I graduated from a chemical and mechanical college and studied part-time. I worked at the factory as a compressor operator, and after graduation I moved to the production department as an engineer. In the 90s, the factory suffered staff reductions and I lost my job. I have been retired since 2000.
Tell about your present life.
At the beginning of the war, my family and I were forced to leave our homes. It was very dangerous to stay in the city. There was constant bombing. There were no hospitals, pharmacies or shops in the city anymore. We had no electricity, gas or water. Now I live in Kyiv in a rented apartment with my daughter and granddaughter.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
Yes, I have always believed in Christ. Sometimes I even went to church. I often turn to God in my thoughts, I know the Lord’s Prayer. I enjoy attending services at St. Paul’s Church.
Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.
I am an ordinary person without any outstanding talents. But I have worked hard all my life. I loved working on the soil. Since childhood, in the village, I’ve had a vegetable garden. Then, when we moved, I had a cottage and land for a vegetable garden. I really like to grow something. But now, unfortunately, it’s all smashed to pieces where we moved from.
