Description
Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
I grew up in Bakhmut. I finished secondary school and served in the army. I took music lessons. I used to play the accordion. After I was discharged from the army, I obtained higher education.
I am a widower. My wife died in 2014.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
I worked all my life at one place – College of Railway Transportation. I started as a lab assistant and was later promoted to a master of industrial training, instructor, and head of department. I was very happy with my job. I enjoyed working with young people – future railway workers. In addition to that, our college had a cohesive, well-knit team of instructors.
Tell about your present life.
I rent an apartment in Kyiv. I spend on rent my entire pension.
I enjoy living in Ukraine. It’s the best country in the world.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
Now – in the midst of this terrible war – I feel an especially urgent desire to follow Christ and live by the biblical principles.
Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.
Now man can survive only through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has really changed my life.
My parents were also born in Bakhmut. My father was a carpenter. I respected my parents very much and followed their example. I like to work on the land, so I had a small hut in the village. My heart hurts for Ukraine and my destroyed home. Especially since my father and I built it ourselves. The war has dragged on. No one expected the fighting to continue for more than two years, and we already want peace. I never thought that I would spend my old age in a rented apartment. I left my bees in Bakhmut. I had twenty beehives there.
I really want our soldiers to win. My thoughts are with our guys who are fighting for Ukraine at the front.
