Description

Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.

My both parents worked at the collective farm – my father worked on a tractor and my mother did various jobs. My father was killed in WW II. After I finished school I went to Kyiv. There I worked in day time and studied in the evening. Then I got married and we got two kids. I became a widow at a very young age. Then my son died – he was 42. It was very hard to live through that.

Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?

I had various jobs at factories. I worked hard totally over 58 years. I enjoyed my work. I was respected by my colleagues. Though I worked hard, the ration in calculation my monthly pension was not high enough, therefor my pension is low.

Tell about your present life.

Terrible disaster is taking place in our country now. The war and destruction now is much worse than back then in 1941. It is hard to see how they (i.e. Russians) destroy everything, how they kill children and steal. Why do they torture us? Our country has never attacked anybody. So I am living through the second war. I do not have my own apartment so I live in a special facility. My life could have been called good if it had not been the war. I am very thankful to my sponsor for helping us. I would like to know my sponsor’s name.

Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?

With my whole heart and soul I believe and hope that soon the Lord will cleanse our land from the enemy. I have been in St. Paul Church since 2012 – it is great support and blessing for me.

Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.

We used to have congregation choir in our church before – I was its member. I enjoy singing hymns: to glorify and bless our Almighty God. I pray to God to give us victory so that peace and joy would be in our country. I would like to get to know my sponsors better so I could pray more specifically for them. Many thanks and blessings. With love, Nadia.
