Description

Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.

I have a twin brother. I was born with a very low weight, and doctors saved me by keeping me in a barocamp. My brother and I were often sick and therefore missed school. When we were 12 years old, my parents divorced. We lived with my mother in a one-room apartment. My father worked at a factory, and my mother worked in a hospital as a nurse. My mother also had a difficult childhood. Her parents died during the war and her sister died during the Holodomor.

Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?

Our father used to get us jobs at the factory. But because of the harmful fumes, we developed allergies and had to quit. Then we were transferred to another department and worked there for a very long time. I remember that time with joy. And I thank my father for helping us find a job.

Tell about your present life.

In 2019, my mother died, and I am going through this loss very hard. I am also getting sicker and sicker. St. Paul’s Church helps me with food vouchers and through Bible studies I learn to cope with life’s challenges.

Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?

Yes, I believe in God. I have been with Him for about 9 years now, trying to live the life of a believer as best I can. It doesn’t always work out well. But in church I learn how to have hope and be a good follower of God.

Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.

I am just delighted with all the bright people who support us in such a difficult time. I am grateful for the sponsors and the team here. Each of you is a real hero.
