Description
Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
I was born in Kyiv. My mother was a fashion designer and she taught me to do all kinds of crafts. My father worked at the factory as a head of electrical department – he was strong and handsome. I was a good student at school but I was mostly interested in after-school activities: drawing, painting, theater. In high school I was interested in cybernetics.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
In 1977 I graduated from the Polytechnic University majoring in physics and technologies. At the university I was a champion in tennis and skiing. During summer I worked at pioneer camps as a leader. After graduating from the university I worked as a constructor and an engineer at the factory. I worked as a tour-guide around Kyiv. I worked as an administrator at the movie theater. I worked as a insurance agent. I also cleaned dishes.
Tell about your present life.
I live alone. My husband died in 2014. My daughter Lilia is abroad now. My grandson is a military volunteer. In 2022 when the big war started I also became a volunteer: I worked at the military kitchen, I was making special nets and candles for the army, I was helping my neighbors and those people who came from other parts of Ukraine. I hosted people who temporary stayed in Kyiv. People who went abroad left their pets – I take care of them.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
I believe in Christ though I was raised as an atheist. But my grandmother taught me the Word of God. One of them was teaching me different prayers. The other one was in choir in St. Vladimir Cathedral. In 1977 I saw the Bible for the first time.
Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.
I have two pieces of land. And my dream is to start a facility for elderly people there after the war is over. My sponsor needs to know how much I am thankful to them and our church ministers for help I receive.
