Description

Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.

During WW II fierce battles took place in our village. There were many burnt houses. My grandfather, my sister of 13 and two of my mother’s brothers were killed. As I was growing up I remember baby-sitting my younger brother while my mother was working in field. My father was a smith. I had to walk 3 miles to get to school. I had no childhood – it was nothing but hard work.

Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?

After finishing school I graduated from technical college majoring in calculation systems. That area was developing and I had to study a lot in order to do good job at the factory I worked at. I got married and had a son. We took care of our old parents and worked in the big garden. There was no rest at all.

Tell about your present life.

In 1990s my son graduated from the Polytechnic University but like many other people he could not get a job. So he went to work abroad where later he got married and had kids. 8 years ago my husband died. We had lived together for 48 years. I was in despair, but life kept on going on, my friends and neighbors supported me. A year later I was invited into St. Paul Church where I met many lonely people like me.

Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?

The village I was born in was small but there was a church where our parents took us every Sunday. I knew prayers, sang hymns. In winter time our mother would read us Gospels. In 1964 that church was destroyed, but it laid strong Christian foundation for me. So here in St. Paul Church sermons and Bible lessons help me understand the Bible better. We are sinners, but Christ paid for our sins and gave us hope for eternal life. Christ is our Savior and a Healer of our souls.

Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.

I am greatly thankful to my sponsors Davis and Rebecca for there material and spiritual support at such difficult time. People with big hearts share what they have with us. I wish I could learn more about their life. I wish them good health and prosperity. Thank you very much!  God is with us!
