Description
Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
I was born in a family of a military. I had a brother and a sister who died when she was 1.5. I was an excellent student in school.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
In 1970 I moved to Kyiv. When I studied at the University of Economics I met my future husband. We both majored in math and programming. I worked as a programmer at different places: Cybernetics Institute, Kyiv Municipal Central Hospital, Central Mall, Central Toy Store and a cold storage plant. I was pleased with my jobs.
Tell about your present life.
Now I live in my second marriage. My husband used to be a drinker till he got sick with Alzheimer. Now he sits in the corner and does not recognize anybody. It is very hard. The state does not help with anything. He cannot take care of himself at all. I live with him alone. My daughter does not live with us and does not want to take care of my husband since he was not nice to her in the past.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
I have been in church for 8 years and grow in my relationships with God. I study the Word of God more and more. My faith in God is everything I have left in this life. As one of the Church fathers wrote, in this life only God exists and the rest is pain. At the end of life I want to believe that my life will go on.
Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.
My dear sponsor, I do not know which part of my life can be of interest to you. I live with my sick husband in a tiny house close to Kyiv. We have lived through the Orange Revolution, beginning of the war in the east, Covid lockdown and now this war has affected all our life and life of our kids. My granddaughter was evacuated abroad. My daughter said she would not leave me and stayed in Kyiv. Life has changed a lot – people, values. The Lord is with us so we will live through this as well. Our church ministers are good and they take care of us along with other brothers and sisters. I am often sick. My joints ache. I do my exercises. I have a dog and two cats. I take care of my garden. My daughter helped me with Internet connection in my house and brought me a computer. With God’s help we will overcome everything. I have only one request: pray for us, our church and Ukraine.
