Description
Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
I was the 10th child in our family. After finishing school I came to Kyiv to enter the university. I stayed at my sister’s and helped her to babysit her son.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
I worked at construction first carrying heavy items. Then I worked as a mechanic at the factory and later got a job at a shoe manufacture. After the birth of my two sons I got a night job to be able to be with my kids at day time – I was cleaning buses. My husband did not make much money. Later I graduated from technical college. I was not able to do physical work any longer. I worked as a book-keeper and an economist.
Tell about your present life.
I live alone now. It is very hard. I see now all the results of my hard physical work in the past. I suffer of sugar diabetes. My back is a problem. I walk with aid. When the big war started I got a stroke and broke my leg. Since I was not hospitalized my leg was not treated properly.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
I believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. He died to give me eternal life. He shed His precious blood, delivered me from the darkness and gave me heaven. When I was little God delivered us, kids, from thunder storm by writing in the shy the word “Storm”. For 17 years I used to be in the Lutheran church.
Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.
Our family suffered from famine twice: in 1933 and when my father was in prison for 9 years – he was accused in false political beliefs. I was 6 when he returned home. My dear and beloved Margaret Weston, thank you so much for your support – I am alive because of it. The war is going and it is hard with everything. I have been having diabetes for 40 years. Please, say hello to your father David and your sister Ann. I wish you all good health, happiness and peace. Blessings to you all. Due to your prayers I am still living. Praise God for everything. My sons are also retired. I live alone.
