Description
Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
I lived with my brother, sisters, and parents. That was a long time ago. Everything went well with me. I finished secondary school, and then – vocational school and institute. Time has really flown by. I am 77 now.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
I worked at a design institute serving the salt industry. I developed cost estimates of various projects. I liked my job.
Tell about your present life.
My life is going very badly. I have to pay for my apartment and utilities. It’s a nightmare. Please understand how difficult it is to cover all the utilities when you live on a minimum pension. And the assistance I get from the government is next to nothing. Yet I need to survive somehow.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
I have always believed and will continue to believe in God. But not all help should come from Him. The government should also care for the people who live in this country.
Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.
I am 77. I am a widow. I lived in Bakhmut, Donetsk region. I worked all my life, even after I retired. I was constantly working part-time because my pension was not sufficient to enable me to replace the old worn-out things. I bought a new refrigerator, a gas stove, a toilet pan, a vacuum cleaner, a water heater, a sofa, bedding, dishes and some small things. I always paid for the utilities. All this would have been impossible if I had to rely on my meager pension alone.
My 90-apartment building, including my apartment on the 2nd floor, has been completely destroyed. The city is also gone. At 77, I will not be able to buy housing or get it from the state. I really want to ask a question, although I don’t know who to ask: what should I do? How should I go on living? I had everything and now I have nothing. I am a homeless person and all the other people from Bakhmut are homeless, too.
