Description

Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.

I was born in a family of a military doctor and a house-wife. In 1963 we moved to Kyiv. I studied in school and was a very close child because my mother did not love me. She cared for my older sister. When I was 17 I started working and studying at the university at the same time.

Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?

I worked as an engineer and a programmer. When my first child was born I had to stay at home for 6 years because she was  a very sick child. Then for 22 years I was a social worker – first in Salvation Army and then in the state office. Work conditions were hard but I was happy to help older people.

Tell about your present life.

I had to leave home because of continuous abuse from my daughter. Her husband also kicked out three of my grandkids (not his kids) and my son. Now my son rents a room for me. I stay in close touch with him and my grandkids who help me when they can. My only problem is poor health. I had a stroke that led to bad consequences: high blood pressure, bad hip joints, sugar diabetes, thyroid grand disfunction, pancreas misfunction, and heart and lungs failure as a result of Covid.

Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?

Faith in Christ keeps me alive, gives me peace. I accepted Christ in 1993 when I was baptized in 7th Day Adventists Church. Then I was in the Salvation Army and I joined St. Paul’s Church in 2013.

Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you

I was a single mother of three kids – I received no support from their father. I helped raising 7 grandkids, the older ones have already got jobs. I thank God for the strength Jhe gave me to help others.
