Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
My father worked at a factory as a smith and my mother was a teacher of Russian. My parents died. Since my mother was ill I had to go to boarding schools ( I went to three boarding schools). Then I graduated from the Polytechnic University and later from HR Academy.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
I worked as an engineer and a book- keeper and an auditor. First I worked at a factory as a worker but then I decided to get another university degree. I worked at different state organizations. As an auditor I had to work at big archives where mice poison was used – in three years it caused me to develop asthma and anemia. I have the 3rd degree of disability – taking medicines do help. I was respected at my work for my perfectionism and care for staff.
Tell about your present life.
My husband died after Chernobyl accident. Now I live with my son who is 43 – we have complicated relationships. I have no grandkids. My sister is in Crimea. My niece has her family and told me not to rely on her in case of need – nevertheless we have good relationships. I have no material support from my family. When I broke my hand Valentina Piskovaya and Elza Tadaychuk (ladies from our program) were helping me. I am very thankful to them.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
I believe in Jesus Christ. I became a member of St. Paul Church in March 2018 and I joined the Program in 2020. I have always been following the Lord for long time since I always feel His care. My grandmother was an Orthodox believer – she drew me to faith. As a little girl I remember waking up hearing her prayers. Encouraging people to accept Christ I my spiritual responsibility.
Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.
As all Ukrainians I am getting tired of the war. But I am not getting tired of thanking God for our MMK sponsors. I am thankful to our Mission for our choir as well. I am a Stephen minister – I help Elza Tadaichul: she is HB after breaking her hip bone.
