Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
My dad worked as a carpenter at an industrial factory, and my mom worked at a bird farm. There were three children in our family. Me and two older brothers. I graduated from high school with good grades.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
I worked at the Kakhovka Hydroecological and Land Reclamation Expedition for 35 years. It was founded after the construction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station to monitor the groundwater level. The working conditions were not bad and I liked everything.
Tell about your present life.
Now we are at war in our country. Our Kakhovka region is occupied by the enemy. My house was also damaged by shelling. Life has become difficult both physically and morally. All chronic diseases have worsened and I have also acquired new health problems during this time. All hospitals in our area were closed by that time. That’s why I had to leave the occupied territory for Kyiv, to live with my daughter. We rented an apartment. I am a pensioner, I have a very small pension and I continue to be very ill. My daughter works, but everything is expensive – rent, clothes, food, medicine.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
I believe in Christ. When I was a child, my aunt taught me the Lord’s Prayer. This prayer has been with me throughout my life. In joy and in sorrow. And I have lived through different situations. No matter what happens in our country, I continue to honor God. I honor His 10 commandments
Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.
I love my country Ukraine very much. Although it is very difficult for us now, I believe in our victory. I want to return home, to my house. I want to hug my family, colleagues and friends. Faith in Christ helps me to hold on in this difficult time.
