Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.

I spent my childhood in Kyiv. During German occupation in WW II my job was to keep in secret the fact that our family was keeping young people in our apartment not to let German soldiers and the police to take them to Germany. After the war I finished school and later graduated from the University of Clothing Manufacture. I started working shortly after finishing school.

Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?

After graduating from the university till 1994 I worked at the area of prothesis manufacture taking different positions. When I retired I was offered a job at the Board of Directors of our district’s local government. Later all such Boards were removed. So I found a job of a guard at kids’ recreation club.

Tell about your present life.

I live at home. I live due to my kids’ and friends’ help – they have been sent to me by the Lord. I am particularly thankful to Maya Didenko (Lidia’s Stephen minister) for her help – together we pray and read printed Bible lessons.

Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?

I have been attending church since I was a child. My parents and my mother’s parents were believers. I remember crossing the river on our way to church when I was a kid. I remember speaking with other kids about Easter bread which we took to the church for blessing. In 1953 I read the Gospel for the first time. I remember praying to God for blessings for all my exams.  In 2009 Katerina Melnichuk invited me to St. Paul Church. I used to be a part of our church choir. Roger and Diana were conducting church services then – I am very thankful to them!

Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.

I wish happiness, success and good health to our sponsors. I also wish them peaceful sky over their heads! I am heartfully thankful to Roger and Diane and to all our church staff now!
