Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.

My sister Raisa and I were raised by both parents. I studied in math school very well. We were poor but still had good life. There were lots of books at our home.

Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?

I have been working as a teacher all my life. There were times when  teachers’ salary was about $20. Now I continue to work though many of my colleagues went abroad.

Tell about your present life.

I have never had easy life. I raised my son Bogdan myself. My sister has severe mental illness – she has the 2nd degree of disability. Life is hard for families with disable people. After our mother’s death I am her only care-taker. Despite my high blood pressure I do take care of my sister (note from Lena: Raisa is locked at a special institution. Her behavior is rater aggressive and dangerous. Since this institution belongs to the state, she is underfed there. So Taisia regularly visits her there to bring her food and necessary things and spends time with her).

Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?

Since 2006 I have been coming to St. Paul Church. I used to come with my mother when she was alive. Diane baptized me. I was a member of our prayer group. I enjoy coming to Bible studies and church services. I am with my Lord Jesus. He is the only one who keeps us from coming sins and guides us in righteousness.
