Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
My childhood was hard. Parents were working at the collective-farm from dawn to dusk. Out of seven kids only three survived. It was hard after the war. My parents were paid with “working days” (translator’s note: system of payment in collective farms in the USSR till 1960s where workers were paid by wheat – from 100 grams to 1 kilo per day. In 1946 during famine people were not paid at all). We also had to pay taxes, so we lived very poorly. After I finished school in 1961 I went to work because there was no money to send me to study.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
I have totally worked for 33 years. First I worked as a crane worker at a big factory in Kyiv, then I moved to another big factory with high level of air pollution. My work was hard but I liked it.
Tell about your present life.
I have many health issues as a result of life hardships. I thank God for every single day I live. And I thank God for our sponsors – let the Lord bless them and their families in everything they do.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
I believe in Christ since my childhood. My faith has grown since I joined St. Paul’s Church in 2015 because I started reading the Bible.
Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.
I have lots of illnesses: ulcer, diabetes, abnormal heart beating, asthma, high blood pressure, cataract of both eyes, but the most troublesome is hypoactive bladder.
