Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
My father returned from the war disable. He died when I was 15. My mother raised 4 kids herself. We conducted very modest living. After I finished school I entered Pedagogic Institute. After 3 years of study I had to work as well.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
I worked at the regional station of natural science for teenagers. I was a teacher and a guide. I enjoyed my work, though my salary was low and therefore my pension is low now. I was able to visit all republics of the former Soviet Union travelling with groups of kids.
Tell about your present life.
I am 77 now and cannot find a job – so financially it is not easy. I rent a part of the room at a student dormitory.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
I believe in Christ. 15 years ago I was baptized.
Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.
I have high blood pressure and a number of chronic diseases. I am going through medical exams. They are delayed and I have to pay for them. I suffer a lot because of the war. Because our stove is electric, when power is turned off I cannot even make hot tea. My son was killed in a car accident. I became a widow at the age of 36. All my remote family is on the occupied territory and I have no way to reach them. I am thankful to St. Paul’s Church for incredible Christmas presents and material support!
