Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
My twin sister Valentina and I finished 11 years of village school. We were good students, ready to help elderly people. Our parents worked in a collective farm. They were illiterate, but hard-working. Our parents were raising us well – they taught us to love to work and study. We were good kids. Along with us there were 2 more sisters and 2 more brothers in our family.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
When I was 20 I came to Kyiv. I lived in a dormitory and worked as a tram conductor. Then I was a worker at a huge factory and then became a care-taker in a day care: I worked with the youngest kids. I loved my worked and the kids. When I was 50 I retired. My pension is very small because I have no university degree. I was pleased with my work though I worked 12 hours a day – from 7am till 7pm.
Tell about your present life.
I receive small pension. I am 77 now. Merely all my pension is spent on utility bills. I also have to buy medicines. I have a number of chronical health issues: high blood pressure, kidney disease, skin irritation, fungus of nails, stomach ulcers, herniated discs, poor vision. I need glasses, dipers, antibiotics, tonemeter to measure blood pressure. It is very hard financially. We are losing weight and getting older.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
I believe in Christ and trust in His help. I came to church in 2010 – since that time I have been following the Lord. I do not forger our church ministers – Diana and Roger, Kim and Wes from Canada. And I thank all our current church leaders: Valentina, both Irinas, Ruslan, Lena, doctor Vadim, Igor.
