Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
I was an A student in our city school. I was also participating in many school activities. And at the same time I would run to the city Orthodox church for services. I was on my knees during every church service.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
I graduated from the State University in Kyiv majoring in pedagogics. I worked as a teacher and greatly enjoyed my job. There was mutual respect between a student and a teacher. Now people say that students disrespect teachers – I did not see it when I was working. I enjoyed my job through my pay was very small – but I did not complain because I knew that all workers in social sector of work market made little money then.
Tell about your present life.
My life situation is similar to the one of most pensioners. Perhaps, it is worse because I have poor health. I used to be very athletic in my youth. Now I have high blood pressure, often faints and break my bones. My left hand that was broken hurts now. But the worst is my hip bone. After it was broken it was misplaced that causes pain whether I sit or walk. Therefore I ask church ministers to let me go earlier on Thursday Bible lessons because I am in pain.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
Yes, I have. I cannot even say where this faith came from. As I said earlier, I used to attend church when I was in school when it was strongly prohibited. I do not even remember what I asked God for. And the Lord helped me – I was an A student and had perfect health.
Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.
- I pray in the morning and in the evening
- I am not a sponsor but I try to give assuming that there are people who are in worse circumstances that I am
- I am praying for my sponsor: for his health and long-living. I do that not because I receive something but because of my sponsor’s kindness which I value a lot in people
Greatly thankful.
