Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
My parents were educated people and gave me and my brother good education. I finished 8 years of school and entered a specialized high school majoring in physics and math. Later I graduated from the Pedagogic University and became a math teacher.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
I worked as a math teacher in one of Donetsk schools. In 1972 I moved to Poltava and there I worked as a school principal for 10 years. And before I retired I worked as a head math teacher in the City Council of Education. All my work conditions were good. I loved my job and was very pleased.
Tell about your present life.
I am 74. In October of 1914 I moved from Donetsk to Kyiv because of the beginning of the war. My pension is about $85. In order to pay for the apartment I rent I clean halls in apartment complexes. I do not know how long I will last at this job because of my high blood pressure. My parents’ apartment was totally destroyed by shelling, mine is still there in Donetsk but I have no clue where I will live.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
I believe in Christ and this faith has been helping me. Coming to St Paul Church changed my life. I love coming to church and listen to sermons. Diane’s and Roger’s sermons inspired me to read the Bible daily, follow the Lord’s teaching and stay in fellowship with other believers. I am warmed up by Christ’s love.
Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.
I would like to ask my sponsor to pray for my health so I could keep on working in order to pay $180 a month for the apartment I rent. The war has taken so much from me. I thank people in the US who take care of us.
