Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.

I had no childhood – war, destruction, poverty. Our family house was burnt by the Nazi. We had to stay at our neighbors – I had to get up at 5 am to take care of their cows. After finishing school I went to Kyiv. First I worked at construction. I had worked for 38 years.

Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?

I did not like my job, but what could I do? For 10 years I lived at the dormitory, then I received an apartment. I got married – my marriage did not work so I raised my son myself. I had no help. I retired at the time of the collapse of the USSR. My pension was 70 rubles. It was not enough for living so I became a genitor. I had to take care of my old mother who died at the age of 93.

Tell about your present life.

My mother had lived through the famine if 1933. Every night she went to bed holding a piece of bread in her hand. When we had little bread at home she would send me to the store to buy more bread. This current war has added so much stress and anxiety, high blood pressure, high level of sugar. Putin has never been a builder. He did not live through the siege of St. Petersburg, he did not see destruction, deaths, famine. He destroys. He kills the young and the old. It is such a great sin.

Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?

I was curious to come to church as a child. I wanted to hear church singing. It was a Baptist church. We had no Bible then but I still keep that church song book. They do not sing such songs now. I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and His salvation.

Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.

My dear sponsor Fransis, I am happy you take care of people like me. Let God bless you for everything you do with good health, long-living, deeper knowledge of our dear Lord Jesus Christ.  I believe there will be the day of victory when we will all be happy.  Jesus Christ will put end to injustice, He will show mercy for the needy and oppressed, He will deliver the poor. The righteous will prosper in His days. There will be peace. No more death. No more cry. No more pain.
