Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.

I come from a big family. I have three brothers. I am the oldest sibling. Praise the Lord – all my brothers are alive and healthy.

Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?

After completing the 8th grade, I went on to study bookkeeping at a vocational school in Shepetivka. Following my graduation, I moved to Kyiv. First, I worked as a bookkeeper at the 6th Car Repair Factory. Then I got a job as an accountant at Teatralny restaurant. I liked my work. Unfortunately, at 38 I was diagnosed with cancer.

Tell about your present life.

My present situation is very difficult. My husband and I are pensioners. My pension is 3,000 hryvnia. My illnesses prevented me from having a better work record and a higher pension. When I was 48, my cancer resurfaced again. Since that time, I have had a 3rd degree disability status. I spend almost all of my pension on medicines. I suffer from high blood pressure, allergies, psoriasis, and gout.

Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?

I have believed in Christ since my childhood. I grew up in the Baptist family. All my relatives on my father’s side are Baptists. My grandma took me to a house of prayer for worship (although these activities were forbidden in Soviet times). At some point, my parents moved in to live with me. The three of us attended a church in Boyarka, a little town near Kyiv.

Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.

Irina Scherban brought me to the mission. I really like it here. I am so grateful to you for your assistance. I have never been in such difficult circumstances before.

I do believe in Christ. Every day I pray for you, for our church, for Ukraine and America. I am grateful to our Lord for everything.
