Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
I loved my daddy very much. When I turned 11, he passed away. Since that time, I have experienced a lot of difficulties. Difficulties have haunted me all my life. I was forced to achieve my goals only through my own efforts. No one had ever helped me with anything.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
I worked at the Khimvolokno factory (‘’khimvolokno’’ means chemical fiber). There were 7 production facilities there. My work was very difficult. I was dealing with triethylene glycol. I was constantly inhaling gas vapors. It took a toll on my health. I retired at 45. Then I learned that one could earn an apartment by joining a team of people that built apartment buildings for themselves and their families.. So I went into construction. I worked as a painter and plasterer.
Tell about your present life.
My personal life didn’t work out. I’m all alone now. I am glad my beloved dog is living with me. I also glad I belong to St. Paul’s Church, which I attend regularly. I love the staff of the mission who try to help us in many different ways.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
Christ is my life. In Him alone is my hope and salvation. In 2004, I realized that I had to change my life and enter into a relationship with God. In 2005, I was baptized. In 2008, I became a member of St. Paul’s Church. Since that time, I have never been separated from God. In Him – and Him alone – does my soul rest. Every day I long to meet Him in prayer.
