Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.

My childhood was in post-war time and it was very hard. My parents were workers. My father worked at a big plant in Kyiv. I lived at my grandmother’s in the village. Then I went to school. In Kyiv I graduated from technical college.

Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?

I worked at the store. Then I entered University and after graduation I worked as an economist. I was pleased with my job.

Tell about your present life.

In 1957 I got married. I had a good husband. In 1959 we became happy parents of our son. In 2000 my husband was run over by a huge vehicle. In 2008 my son died. I got cancer and then four surgeries. Now I have poor vision. My life is very hard with a pension of about $120 a month.

Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?

I have been a believer in Christ since my childhood. My mother was a Christian and she always taught me to trust in Christ, read the Bible and conduct honest living. In 2014 I met Irina Koshman and she invited me in St. Pail’s Church. In 2016 Diana McMurrin accepted me as a church member.

Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you

Since 2014 I have been attending all our church services, delivered food packages to HB people, visited sick ones in hospitals. Since 2023 I stopped being a Stephen minister since I cannot do this physically – now my health is very poor. In church we have wonderful ministers – we are very thankful to them and everyone who helps us. And we are very thankful to our sponsors for in such difficult times they bless us with groceries, medicines and necessary things. Let God keep us all. Merry Christmas to you! Sincerely, Yevdokia.
