Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.

I spent my entire childhood in the village where I was born. My family included my mother, father, grandmothers and two brothers. One of the brothers has already died. I did very well at school. I helped my mother with housework and grazed the cow.

Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?

After graduating from the Kyiv Technical School of Public Catering, I worked as a cook in the student canteen. Then I went on to study at the Kyiv Institute of Trade and Economics. After graduation, I worked as a process engineer in a food control laboratory. The work was very interesting, there were always a lot of people around. But then our laboratories were closed, and I went to work as a dormitory manager at the Agricultural Academy.

Tell about your present life.

I am now retired. I have four grandchildren and try to spend time with them. In the summer I go to the village (to my parents’ house). There I do the farming, grow vegetables for the winter, because my pension is small. In winter, I live in Kyiv.

Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?

My grandmother, born in 1900, was a very religious person. This faith was passed on to my mother. I knew from a very young age that there is a God, Jesus Christ. At first I believed as a child, but over the years I began to take everything seriously. So you can say that I have been following the Lord throughout my life.

Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.

When I was 18 years old, I became very ill with tuberculosis. I was very worried that this disease would not allow me to work in my field of specialization. But God is faithful, He gave me healing and restoration. My husband and I have two wonderful sons, and we gave them a good education. Everything would have been great if I hadn’t become a widow 15 years ago. It is very difficult. But I think that God is with us, and He leads us through various trials so that we become more hardened and do not forget that we are led by the strength of God along the paths of life.
