Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.
There were 7 kids in our family: 5 of them died young and only my brother and I remain living. Our father returned from the war wounded and did not love long. I had to study at the boarding school because it was hard for my mother to take care of all the kids. I chose to be a good student so I could continue education.
Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?
I am a librarian. I was working at different positions in different libraries. I was working with both kids and adults. Work conditions were good, staff was friendly – singing, music, different activities with colleagues inspired me to work. Though I had worked all my life, my pension is about $70 per month.
Tell about your present life.
My husband died young. I was raising two disable kids myself. My son was disable since childhood and my daughter became disable after giving birth to her daughter: during C-section there was overdosage of narcosis which damaged her health greatly. I had to raise my granddaughter. I am very sick myself: bad eyes, rheumatology arthritis, thyroid gland disease, hearth misfunction, high blood pressure, etc. Life situation is very hard. Medicines and food became very expensive. But we do not get discouraged with God’s help and help of St. Paul Church and our sponsors.
Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?
My grandmother used to take me to the Orthodox church I joined St. Paul Church in 2017. Here I learnt how to share my faith with family and friends.
