Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.

I was born in Kyiv. My parents died long ago. I have a husband, a son and a daughter. My daughter is married, she has a daughter. My son is divorced and has a son. Both my daughter and granddaughter have University degree. My son is a lieutenant colonel. My grandson finished college.

Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?

I worked as a leading trade expert. My job was to check the quality of good produced both in the USSR and imported from abroad. I took that position for over 25 years and really enjoyed the job.

Tell about your present life.

I receive pension. My husband, son and I live with a family of my daughter – 6 adults in  a 3-room apartment. It is hard for three generation to share common space: each person has his character, needs and expectations. We have to adjust. I have to teach and be taught. We have to have strong nerves. Now it is more difficult morally. Because of the war, my kids and a grandson where they were staying in the bomb-shelter for three months – they slept on the floor and did not go outside.

Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?

I have been a believer in Jesus since 1991 when first American missionaries started coming to Ukraine. Before we had had no opportunity to hear the Word of God. We could not even get the Bible then. Since I accepted Christ I have always been with the Lord – I always pray and thank God for everything.

Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.

Since 1941 I knew from my grandmother that it was due to help from France, England and the USA we won WW II. Situation now is similar. Russian attacked Ukraine destroying our cities, killing innocent women and children, ruining infrastructure – have we gone anything to hurt them?! I ask the Lord to stop this suffering: we tired of hiding during bombing and shelling. Every day I pray for nations of Germany, France, England and the USA thanking God for their helping us, for the US President and the Congress’ support. Especially I am thankful to our sponsors who help us to survive at this difficult time. Let the Lord help everyone who is helping. The Lord is hope of nations.
