Tell about your childhood, school, family, etc.

My father died in 1939. My sister and I lived with our mother. I finished city school and later graduated from medical college, got married and moved to Kyiv in 1960.

Where did you work? Was your work good? Were you happy with your job?

I worked in the hospital in infection department. When in 1986 Chernobyl accident happened, our department was named “Chernobyl department” because in May of that year we received firemen who worked at the Chernobyl plant. Since we had worked with that category of people, the staff of our department received certificates of those suffered of Chernobyl accident (note: in Ukraine this status is similar to disability status). In 1993 I moved to children department where I had worked till 2002 when I retired. Our staff was wonderful and I was very pleased with my job.

Tell about your present life.

Now I live with my granddaughter Anna. My both sons and my husband died. My daughter-in-law and my grandson moved abroad in March, 2022. I decided to stay home. I believe that the Lord is with me and He will rescue me. I thank my sponsors for help. I cannot go to church any longer. I read my Bible at home, pray for Ukraine that now suffers of its enemy.

Have you accepted Christ? How long have you been following the Lord?

In 2001 I came to church. Roger McMurrin became my pastor and teacher. He taught my Evangelism Explosion program. I started this training in 2005. First we were visiting people in their homes and shared Christ while delivering food packages. And later in 2010 I started teaching EE after church services. I trained 315 people. 52 of them received their EE certificates.

Tell about one thing your sponsor needs to know about you.

I am very thankful to my sponsor for help at such difficult time. But the most important thing is this: I am not afraid to be killed by a rocket. I believe that I am saved by the Lord, that He lives in my heart and have assurance of salvation. Ludmila.
